Reactions to JD1 by 'Mister Trot' Peers Revealed by Jeong Dong-won
According to Korean media, trot singer Jeong Dong-won has revealed the various reactions of his 'Mister Trot' peers, Im Young-woong, Lee Chan-won, and Jang Min-ho, to his alternate persona, A.I. idol singer JD1.
On the afternoon of the 5th, MBC's entertainment program 'Radio Star' featured a special episode titled 'Lay the Carpet on My Stage,' starring four charismatic performers: Kim Chang-wan, an actor and member of the group Sanulrim; Kim Yoon-ah, a singer-songwriter from the rock band Jaurim; Jeong Dong-won (JD1), a trot singer and A.I. idol; and violinist Danny Koo.
During the show, Jeong Dong-won was asked by host Kim Gura, "Did the 'Mister Trot' members have different reactions to JD1? Were they all critical?" Jeong responded, "Some were, but the reactions varied."
Jeong explained, "For example, Uncle Jang Min-ho had a very realistic reaction because of his age. He said, 'Why are you already doing a different genre with that feeling? There are still many things you can do as a human being with trot.' He initially seems harsh but always ends with support."
Jeong continued, "Lee Chan-won tends to tease me. He would say, 'Oh? A.I.? What is A.I. doing now?' We sometimes video call, and if he calls when I'm about to sleep, I'll answer without a shirt on. Then he goes, 'Oh? A.I. is shirtless! A.I. has human skin and everything!' Such teasing can get a bit annoying."
He added, "Im Young-woong, on the other hand, has many genres he wants to try, so he gives continuous feedback like 'Try this genre too.' When I went to Spain to shoot a music video for five nights and six days, he took care of my two dogs since we live in the same apartment. He always helps out a lot."
Meanwhile, MBC's 'Radio Star' is a unique talk show known for its sharp wit that disarms guests and brings out their true stories.
