K-pop star Kim Junsu recently shared his feelings after being blackmailed by a female BJ from Africa TV, resulting in a staggering loss of over 800 million KRW.
On the 15th, Kim Junsu communicated through a fan platform, apologizing for the sudden shock caused by media coverage of the incident. He explained that he had endured harassment for five years and reached a breaking point, leading him to pursue legal action against the perpetrator. Thanks to newfound courage, he stated that the individual involved had been arrested and is now undergoing a review process for detention.
Kim further emphasized his innocence, noting that he regretted not taking action sooner, aware that such news could negatively impact him. He expressed gratitude for the situation, as it served as a lesson to avoid personal connections outside of work after enduring five years of distress.
According to reports, the female BJ, identified as A, allegedly recorded conversations and intimate audio with Kim Junsu after meeting him in 2019. She then used these recordings to threaten him, resulting in 101 instances of extortion from September 2020 until last month, amounting to approximately 840 million KRW. It was revealed that she undertook these actions to fund her drug use.
The Northern Gyeonggi Police announced on the 15th that A had been arrested under the aggravated punishment law for economic crimes. A is currently facing drug-related charges in court, while other investigations are underway. As Kim Junsu's agency stated, he is a clear victim in this situation, vowing to take a firm stance throughout the legal proceedings.
