Former professional gamer and broadcaster Hong Jin-ho has proudly welcomed his first child just seven months after his wedding.
On October 16, he shared the joyous news on his personal social media account, posting a photo of himself holding his newborn daughter along with a message that read, “We have safely been discharged! Our little girl has arrived well into this world.” Hong Jin-ho married his non-celebrity wife, who is 10 years younger, in March, and announced her pregnancy two months later on a variety show. He revealed that their baby’s due date is particularly special, falling on November 11, symbolizing the start of a new chapter for their family.
After undergoing emergency surgery for a pneumothorax, Hong Jin-ho was delayed in sharing his happy news. He explained during a phone call with OSEN that his wife had already given birth before they were discharged from the hospital. Expressing gratitude for the healthy delivery, he shared that, as a new father, he feels both excited and nervous but is determined to raise his daughter well, drawing on the advice of experienced dads around him.
Wishing for his daughter to grow up healthy, Hong Jin-ho admitted he is unsure about the type of father he wants to be but aspires to be a good one, equal to others. Despite the worries stemming from his recent surgery, he assured fans that while he has been discharged, he is not fully recovered yet. He noted, “I still have a few more hospital visits ahead, but I'm focusing on the fact that I’ve been discharged now, and the surgery is complete.”
Alongside the birth of his daughter, Hong Jin-ho has also been in the spotlight due to the release of the Wave original series “Blood Game 3,” which premiered on October 15. Although he was unable to attend the production conference, he expressed his gratitude towards viewers who have enjoyed the show, stating, “Thank you to everyone for your interest. I put in a lot of effort, and with so many talented participants, I believe you will find plenty of entertaining moments.”
