Zico Takes Legal Action Against Rumors
According to Korean media, Zico has decided to take legal action against the rumors.
On the 24th, Zico's agency, KOZ Entertainment, announced on Weverse, "We have confirmed that recently, various defamatory, insulting, and false posts and comments regarding our artist Zico have been indiscriminately posted on various online communities and social media platforms."
The agency continued, "In particular, the spread of malicious rumors and false information, which are clearly unrelated to the artist, has reached an intolerable level of severity, necessitating strong legal action. We have collected evidence from various online communities and social media platforms and have submitted complaints to investigative authorities."
Furthermore, they stated, "In the future, we will continuously monitor and collect evidence of malicious posts and file complaints regularly. We also want to make it clear that the recent rumors about the artist are not true, and we will respond firmly to these as well."
Lastly, the agency emphasized, "We will continue to take strict measures against the authors of malicious posts to protect the rights and interests of the artist, based on evidence collected through reports from fans and our own monitoring. We will hold them accountable until the end, regardless of how long it takes. There will be no leniency or settlements under any circumstances."
The agency also requested, "Your attention and reports are of great help in our legal actions. If you find any malicious posts or illegal activities related to the artist, please actively report them to KOZ Entertainment's official legal response account."
On the 22nd, SBS's "Unanswered Questions" highlighted the late Goo Hara's safe incident. Following the broadcast, rumors spread that Zico was involved as a safecracker.
